Kelly Krantz
Kelly Krantz is a resident of Lafayette and has a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and has been a member of Ole Glory since January 2013. She found CrossFit as a result of her search to improve her lifestyle. She was finished with high school sports, out of college and the regular everyday gym routine just wasn’t cutting it. She knew it would be hard, challenging and out of her comfort zone but she never expected that it would change her life. She now lives and breathes CrossFit.
Kelly is currently the strongest female athlete at Ole Glory. All the ladies are trying to catch up with her squat these days…in fact, even some of the guys! Her favorite days at the box involve anything with squats, heavy metcons or max out days. As usual, since she loves the heavy stuff, she despises the cardio. In fact, she compares burpees to the devil! Even though she hates those WODs she still shows up to complete them because skipping them won’t make her better.
Kelly obtained her Level 1 CrossFit Trainer Certification in April 2014 and hopes to obtain additional certifications in the near future. For her, training has been a wonderful and rewarding experience. She loves being able to help people meet their goals and pushing them passed their comfort zone. You can often find Kelly training the afternoon and evenings classes at Ole Glory. She is also available for personal training sessions anytime.
Kelly’s advice to newcomers at OG is to show up everyday, push yourself and you will get the results you want. You will never know the maximum of your potential until you try and if you fail, get up and try again because one day you will succeed.
